Abstract
RD 865/2003 laying down the health and hygiene standards for prevention and control of legionellosis establishes a classification of facilities that are subject to the same separated into two groups, those most likely to proliferation and spread of Legionella and the lowest probability. Among the latter are included evaporative cooling equipment and humidifiers.
This classification or separation and the fact that for all of them there is no specific Annex to RD to develop programs to perform maintenance, you can create the false impression that all systems that belong to this second group have lower technical risk of proliferation of legionellosis and therefore the importance of strict compliance.
