Abstract
News stories recently denounced the funding of research using primates and humans by the European Research Group on Environment and Health in the Transport Sector (known in Germany as the EUGT), which is in turn sponsored by three major German car companies: Volkswagen, BMW and Daimler. These experiments were not disclosed for various reasons. All of this has contributed to create a situation that makes it possible to make a series of considerations about the history of bioethics and its eventual application to public health in general and environmental health in particular.The articles published in this journal are subject to the following terms and conditions:
